May 13, 2004  Kato Cycle Club Mankato, MN 56001 Meeting Minutes

 

The meeting was called to order by Vice President, Dan Salstrom at 8:00 PM.

 

The minutes from the last meeting were read by Secretary Lenny Damrow.

A motion by Tom Deike was made to approve the minutes as read, a 2nd was made by   John Wiinch.  A vote was taken and the motion was passed

 

Treasurers Report:  Balance $3,478.37, Bills: Sams Club $993.96, Spark plugs, Steve Doty $8.28, Precision Dynamics $395.44, Trophies.  Rich Reichel motions to pay the bills, 2nd by Rob Vanderhof, passed.

 

Road Captain: Doug Marble, not present.

 

Legislative Officer: John Winch, present, no report

 

Head Ref:  Wayne Darge, present, no report.  Motocross this weekend.

 

Visitors:  Tristan Lundberg, Amy May

 

Announcements:  10 people attended the work party Sat 5-work done. Spraying, weed whippng, disposed of scrap wood and brush, and mowing.  Report of debris left on ground. (Tires)

 

Old Business:  Will get answer to status of liquor license next week.  Tree will be planted for Les about where the last one is.  Steve Scmidt will tell us where to plant it. Dan Salstrom requests we make a list of the junk and scrap around the grounds to be salvaged. Tony Huggins suggests retaining a lawyer to review club status regarding corporation and charter expiration & risk to members for insurance purposes. Kevin Case motions to retain an attorney to review this issue.  The cost is 5 hours for $600.00. Steph Burton 2nd, passed.Rich Reichel gave Wayne Darge a tee shirt from the appreciation dinner for an award,  says, “Been There, Wrecked That”

 

New Business:  To Deike will take care of placing road signs out.  Motion by Rich  2nd by Al Wiengartz, passed.  Rich Reichel said we need people to watch lower area with someone in charge.  Marty Cassem and/or RD Currier will be in charge of concessions, one on Saturday and lower on Sunday.  Lee Tiec will make us a payment Saturday.  Parking will be on top and cedar grove with no reserved parking.  Rules and layout will be handed out at the gate.  Lee wants vouchers for guest meals (hamburger, chips and pop).  He would like to bring guests to club later in the season (10), to ride like last year.  Rich Reichel reminds us that free vouchers are for hill limb only.  They were left over from the snow drags that didn’t happen.  John Winch said there are not enough toilets; Rich Reichel mentioned a need for better placement too.  Discussion about Tom Deike getting 3 loads of crushed rock and Rich Reichel to spread it around.  Pat Pierce has a large ice machine to sell to the club. Some discussion about raising concession prices.  People might bring their coolers anyway if prices were raised, but spectators are the buyers said Rob Vanderhof..  People already do that and raising prices would have no effect on scaring away customers.  A motion by Rob Vanderhof to keep pop and water the same and raise everything else .25, 2nd by RD Currier, passed.  Rich Reichel motions to adjourn, Al Weingartz 2nd, passed.

May 20, 2004 Kato Cycle Club Mankato, MN 56001 Meeting Minutes

 

The meeting was called to order by Vice President, Dan Salstrom at 8:00 PM, there were 24 members present.

 

The minutes from May 6th were read and approved.  The minutes from May 13th were read and approved.

 

Treasurer:  Helen Hanks records the balance of our checking is $5562.65.  Bills:Rob Vanderhoff motioned to pay the bills, 2nd by Steph Burton, passed.

Head Ref; No Report

Road Captain, Doug Marble said that we need volunteers to hide eggs and bring eggs to the next meeting.  The egg hunt is on May 29th, Saturday.  Krispy recommended that they be hard boiled eggs.

 

Legislative officer John Winch, said that the session was over, without passing anything but the environmental impact issues.  And Tony Huggins reports that channel 9 had a good report on motorcycles, and motorcycle safety.

 

Visitors:  Lorrie Hartmen, Mike Anderson, Scott Peterson, Brad Buffington.

Announcements:  The clubhouse needs cleaning, Krispy said.  Tom Deike said that the probationary members should be added to the cleaning list.  Tom Deike reported that he found the 9 missing signs that disappeared from the last event.  The highway patrol had them and explained the right of way rules.  100’ from the center line of the highway, and none in the center median.  They suggested asking permission from land owners on the side of the highway to put up our signs.  Krispy wanted to know where the radios are.  We seem to have had them stolen.  RD mentioned that the lock box was broken into.  The inventory was not down and there was money in the till.  Steph wanted better locks.  Jeff Hickock said that some riders bothered Doug Soloman, in the SMC pit, he works there, and they were riding around the piles and such.  This is not allowed and we surmise that they were not club members.  Tom Deike suggests no trespassing signs around the pit to warn of trespassing.   Larry Nurre allows his employees to ride there, it is mentioned.  Jeff Hickock said that the sign up sheets for events should be accurate.  Rob Vanderhoff said that he thought that there were 3 sign up sheets going around.  Steph mentioned that he had some copies from last year he would bring.  Krispy said that the mowing should be done right before the motocross, and Steph said that he would mow, some, again.  Someone mentioned that Les’s tree can not be planted until the ground is ready.  Soon.  Three motorcycles for sale from club members mentioned.  Patty wants to sell Les’s motorcycle for $2,300.00. 

 

Old Bsn:  Club President must sign the liquor license form and will be on the form indefinitely.  He expressed concern over the liability.  The state said that we do not need workers compensation insurance.  Tony Huggins said that the paperwork being filled out for this issue, we have no answers on the form filing.  We sell about $4,000.00 of beer a year, someone said.  Helen Hanks said that we must have Insurance and License from the county to continue the sale of beer.  Randy Laven said that we must have beer for the hill climb and motions to get dram shop insurance.  Est’d at $125.00 occurrence. 2nd by Ron Reemer  and passed. Jim Florey gets up and gets 2 beers.   Jeff Hickock made a motion not to sell any beer until we have the liquor license, 2nd by John Winch, passed.  Tom Deike said, beer – beer – beer.  Steve Doty said that the water pump needs work.  A conversion to electric distributor would work.  Steph Burton made a motion that Steve Doty fix that, 2nd by Darwin Vos, passed. 

New Bsn:  Steph Burton brought up a letter, charges, #7 Bylaws, addressed to Cheryl Dawley.  Letter was discussed and will be posted.  A committee will be convened, after much discussion, to render this conclusion.  Jeff Hickock brought up a letter, charges, #7 Bylaws, addressed to Tammy Marble, etc., and also a letter, charges, #11 Bylaws, addressed to Doug Marble, etc.  Much more discussion.  Endless, on rules.  A lot of people expressed concern that we are not having any fun anymore because of our animosities.  Rob Motioned to Adjourn.We had another endless reading of rules, and Roberts rules.  Tom Deike mentioned that this all started when we created the work party, and points systems.  More discussion.  A motion was made to convene a committee to explore the charges and bring a recommendation to the floor in as soon a time as possible.  Dan Saltrom will call people to sit on this committee.  Committee made the motion to have the committies reply in 1 week, 2nd by Jeff Hickock, passed.  Tom Deike motioned to adjourn, 2nd Ron Reemer.    Passed.

June 3, 2004 Kato Cycle Club Mankato, MN 56001 Meeting Minutes

 

The meeting was called to order by Secretary, Ron Reemer at 8:00 PM. There were 26 members present.

The minutes were read and amended                                                                

Treasurers report: Balance $3,238.74. Bills:  $28.19  to Hickory Tech,   $219.67 to Benco.  Motion by Al Wiengartz,  second by  Darwin Voss to pay the bills. Passed  Referee’s report:  Darwin discussed the hill with Wayne Darge,and they want input from climbers so they don’t have complete responsibility.   Bartender’s report:  deposit of $172.43.

VISITORS :  Jeff Carter, Brad Buffington sponsored by John Winch were voted in as probationary members. John Froelich, and Chris Schroeder were voted in as full members.   Steve Schied made motion to fix the ignition on the pump, second by Gary Mutch, Passed.   Announcements; Charlie Hozinger mentioned that a group will be leaving Hooligan’s for Bullhead Days between 7 & 7:30 Friday June 11.  Unfinished business;  Charlie Hozinger installed lock and hasp worth $25 which he donated to the club until permanent solution found. He would like it back after that.  Charlie also had a check from guests for $50 for the club.   Results from the egg hunt were recited.  Gary Dawley was asked and declined filling out and signing the liquor license. R D Currier volunteered to fill out and sign the application. There was discussion about what to say in ads about people bringing their own coolers and beer if we fail to get legal in time for the hill climb.  Kevin Case donated chairs, and will get more membership applications. John Winch asked about radios. Darwin said we needed 7 or 8.Members were asked to bring whatever radios they had. Bob Riechel said his wife might be able to get a deal on radios from Midwest. There was discussion about road signs.  Kevin Case made motion to allocate funds for advertising if we don’t get sponsors, second by Steve Schied, Passed.   Jim Hanks made a motion to have Bob Riechel look into leasing land to Midwest for towers, second by Randy Laven, Passed. Motion by Steve Schied to award points for weed whipping and cleaning track, passed.  Motion by RD Currier to give Tony Huggins a check to restock concessions, Passed.  Steff Burton motions to adjourn. July 1, 2004 Kato Cycle Club Mankato, MN 56001  Meeting minutes                           The meeting was called to order by President Gary Dawley at 8:05 with 19 members present.  Minutes were approved as read. A motion by Tom Deike, second by Steve Doty approve. No Treasure’s report. 

Bills:  $280.92 for radios to Jim Florey,  Seppmann $ 318.90 for toilets,  Benco $ 311.63,  Vernon Center Service $126.53, and $63.90 for starter.  Motion by Jim Florey, second by Marty Cassem to pay the bills, passed.  A motion by John Winch second by R.D. to give Steve Doty 10 points for work, passed.       

District Rep Darrel Sanderson reported that the district liked our track.  Motion by Jim Florey, second by Steve Doty to give Tice until Saturday to clean up pipes or we will do it and charge him for it. Passed         

Unfinished business; Relocating score shack will cost about $7,000                                                                   Motion by Jim Florey, second by Jeff Hagen to get rubber stamp for passes. Passed.  Motion by John Winch, second by Tom Deike to give 2 double passes to the American Cancer Society. Passed.  

New Business; Minutes of April 15 should be ammended to include letters to members to be dropped for unpaid dues and fines; Travis Wallace, Kris Schmidt, Glen Schmidt, Allen Redig, Bill Krenik, Mike Haga, Marcel Black, and Mark Atkinson.   Motion by Ron Reemer, second by John Winch to have Seppmann service blue toilets. Passed.  Motion by Tom Deike, second by John Winch to reinstate Jeff  Slipy as life member as of this date. Vote was 7-4 to reinstate.  Marty said our grill is shot, and will look for new one. John Winch will bring grill from work for moto. Motion by Steve Schied second by Tony Huggins to give 2 hours each to Ron Reemer, John Winch, and Marty Cassem for clean up. Passed.  A motion by RD second by Steve Doty to get new phone for club house. Passed. RD will get it. A motion by Steve Doty to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 9:20.

10/21/2004 Kato Cycle Club, Minutes –

 

The meeting was brought to order at 8:00pm by President Gary Dawley presiding.

 

The minutes of the last meeting were not available as was not the Treasurers report.  The bank balance reported is $7,764.68, which is from last week after/before bills?  Last statement end the balance was $16,536.77. There are no bills.

 

No Visitors, Ref, Bar Report, Road Captain. 50/50 was talked about and Charlie should head up that fund drive.  Lenny is doing ok in the hospital in Rochester.  Poker Run and Fun Days went well.  The soccer game was tied after 1 overtime period.

 

There were 3 members present. Gary  Dawley, Al Weingartz & Tom Deike. Late in attendance were Robert Reichel, Marty Kassem, John McKinley,Bob Barnecht, Tim Hiniker, John Winch & Dan Tiernen.  Also Mark Rolfs.

 

Old Bsn. Lee Tiec has not returned our contract yet.  Much discussion about wording and a contact letter. Gary Dawley will compose the contact letter.

 

New Bsn.  Marty asks about flat track burning.  South Bend Twnshp will contact us to burn it late fall.  The ditch cleaning will be continued on Saturday at 10 or 11am.  Steve Scheid wants help to blow out the water on Saturday.  If people are around, we will help.  This is a work party opportunity.  There were 32 people that started the poker run and 17 that completed it.  Some of the prizes were held back for the banquet.  The club house and bar were left open and the lights were on in the pop stand and club house.  Who was posed to do this.  The banquet and location were discussed from Kato Ballroom, to Applewood, to Le-Mays to Eagles.  Ballroom is $1500.00 spent = free room rent for back room for 60 people or more, private.  Menu and options at Katoballroom.com under private party rates.

10/28/2004  Kato Cycle Club  =  Meeting Minutes

 

President Garry Dawley Called the Meeting to order at 8:00pm. There were  11    members present.  Helen and Jim Hanks, Gary Dawley, Tom Deike, Cal Cammack, Shane Sandmeyer, Dan Trienen, Dan Salstrom, Brock Beske, Steve Doty, Ron Reemer

The October 14th, minutes were read and approved as read by Jim Hanks, Cal Camack 2nd, passed. The minjutes to the Oct9ober 21st meeting were read and approved as read by Tom Deike, Jim Hanks 2nd.

 

Treasurer:  Helen Hanks, paid $716.00 for sales tax, Benco $232.28 and $2053.00 for utility installation, A check was received from an advertiser for $200.00(Pearle Home Bldrs)  A motion to pay the bills by Tom Deike, 2nd by Jim Hanks, passed  One CD note is coming due, we agreed to extend the term for 3 additional years at the same institution.  Nov 15th is the anniversary date.  We have a paid receipt for the liquor tax paid.

Officers, Announcements:  Send a card to Lenny in RST, Tom will do this.  There is a motion for Tom Deike to take over the Secretary position by Steve Doty, Ron Reemer 2nd, passed.  A Halloween party was brought up, no interest.

Old Bsn:  Lees contract came back to us with few changes other than no percentage of the camping money.  But agreed to all of the other terms.   A rule has been written up and posted about the monthly cleaning crew.  A vote on Dec 2nd will take place to either adopt this or not.  A second question will be added to the proxy vote besides the Motokaze contract.  “ Continued contracts with Motokaze will not require a vote of the board of directors”.  Jim Hanks motions, 2nd by Dan Salstrom, passed.

New Bsn.  Dates for 2005 hillclimbs were discussed.  A list will be made to Motokaze so as not to conflict.  Dates tentatively are June 19th, Mothers Day, July 16th, Nite Climb and August 27th, Satrday 10am, with Dutchmen climb the next day.  A motion to notify Lee  of these dates and ratify this event list was made by Jim Hanks, Tom Deike 2nd, passed.

 

Dan Salstrom brought a request to the floor from 2 club members:  Tim Slipy and Jeff Alexander would offer $10,000.00 up front to be allowed to conduct the moto cross races at the club for the 2005 season.  Discussion.  A rule was mentioned that prohibits club members from profiting from the Kato Cycle Club, or grounds.  Ditch cleaning will continue Saturday and 10am.  Jim Hanks motions to adjourn, Dan Salstrom 2nd,

 

Wood cutting Nov 20th, and a motion for Steve Doty to rebuild the Ford industrial water pump motor over the winter, and the club will pay parts and etc., Jim Hanks motions and Tom Deike 2nd, passed.  Ron Reemer motions to have Cal Cammack make Chili for the wood cutting and Turkey Shoot, expenses reimbursed, 2nd by
Tom Deike,  $30.00 is a limit, passed.  Call Steve Scheid at 345-7020 if you can work on the water blow out, or electrical work.  Vote to adjourn, passed.

11/04/2004  Kato Cycle Club  -  Meeting Minutes

 

President Garry Dawley Called the Meeting to order at 8:00pm. There were 10    members & 1 visitor, David Huggins, present.  Ron Reemer, Gary Dawley, Steve Scheid, Marty Kassem, Tony Huggins, RD Currier, Steph Burton, Dan Trienan, Al Weingartz & Tom Deike.

 

The minutes to the October 28th minutes were read. A motion to approve was made by Ron Reemer, 2nd by Steve Scheid, vote passed.

No Treasurer:  Bills, Freedom Electric, $432.96, Waste Management, $116.38 (10/5), Hickorytech, $87.88.  The large phone bill was for a repair that was done in August.  A motion by Marty Kassem, 2nd by Steve Scheid to pay the bills was made, and passed.

 

Announcements:  Steve Scheid would like help on Sunday with the water, RD had a successful trip to Florida and back.  Stopped at Daytona for bike fest.  Also drove 3733 miles and 288 gallons of gas.  Steph and friends will clean up the scrap on Saturday.  Ditch cleaning at 10am Saturday.  Al Weingartz has cattle gates taken care of for roads and tracks.  Activity vote.

 

Old Business:  Marty Kassem mentioned buying a lap top for treasurer and secretary use.  This would keep our data bases current.  Tom Deike will check on Quick Books, MS Office, Lap Top, Ethernet, Modem, USB for security cams and the such.  Chad Ming is an accountant and might have time to integrate his expertise.  Also see if DSL is available from Hickorytech.  There is much talk about dividing up some Web, Newsletter, Secretary, Points Keeper,  and general correspondence duties at the club. Plus, talk about club officers and job levels that would qualify for points each year. Lee Tice update, the proxies are going in the mail.  A motion was made by Marty Kassem, and 2nd by Steve Scheid, to add an additional $400.00 to the flat track excavation fund.  This motion was passed unanimously.

 

New Business:  Ron Reemer motions to adjourn, Marty Kassem 2nd.  Remember that nominations are going to start the 3rd meeting in November.  We need to discuss the rules and the committee work that was done.  A vote to adjourn at 9:15pm was passed.

The meeting was brought to order by President, Gary Dawley at 8:05pm.  There were14 members present.  Buzzy, Gary Dawley, Tom Deike, Mark Rolf, Al Weingartz, RD Currier, Dan Trianan, Jeff Hagen, Steph Burton, Kevin Case, Darwin Voss, Tom Onsargd, Cal Cammack and Wayne Darge.

 

The minutes wre read and passed as corrected by a motion from Stph Burton, 2nd by Al Weingartz, and passed.

 

No Treasurer or report.  No Road Captain or Referee report.  The bills were given to Helen from last week for payment.  We received cash in the amounts of $105.00, $12.50, and $34.00 for scrap.  The work was done by Steph Burton, Kevin Case, Jeff Hagen and Stephs Son.  The Bar is open and restocked.  No report of cash at this time.

Visitors:  Mark Slark, 2nd meeting, Kevin Case is his sponsor.  There is a work party on November 20th before the turkey shoot.  Dec is election of officers and there are several areas that need to be addressed as far as participants.  President, V. Pres., Treasurer, Ast Ref, Road Captain, Dist Rep, Clerk of Course, Bartender, Photographer, Recorder, Webcaster, and points keeper just to name a few.  There was mail addressed to Bob Becker, club Safety Officer.  There is a Department of Public Safety release about helments. 

 

Old Business:  There are some prices obtained for the computer and misc hardware.  Laptop from $700.00.  Microsoft Office, Business edition is $329.00.  USB Cams are $30-$100, Wireless is available from D-Link. Price unknown..  The water was blown out by Steve Scheid and RD this past weekend.  About 3 hours.  Tom Deike motions to get the new sams club membrship, Kevin Case 2nd.  Motion recinded after discussion about the new officers deciding in 2005 about this matter.  He hill, road and track have been completed.  The work was estimated and approved for $900.00  The bill will be forthcoming.  Some trees and brush will need to be cut to help complete the job.  RD contacted the fire department again and it is on their schedule to burn the area this fall yet.  He will arrange for the completion of this task.  The rule that was posted on the board pertaining to the club house cleaning was brought up and discussed.  Gary Dawley has revamped the old computer list and we may use that instead.  Gary Dawley again called the new member who had given us a bid on web cams, and there was no reply. 

 

New Business:  Kevin Case motions to let Steph Burton get rid of all of our tires at $1.00 each.  A budget of $78.00 was allotted, and Jeff Hagen 2nd the motion which was passed.  It was mentioned that Lenny will need help when he gets back to Mankato.  Many agreed to help when necessary.  Mark Rolfs motions to adjourn,  Darwin Vos 2nd.  There is a 9am work party for turkey shoot day, cals wife hit a deer, and campers off by the 15th or there is a fine.  The motion to adjourn was voted on and passed.

The meeting was brought to order by President, Gary Dawley at 8:05pm.  There were18 members present.  Gary Dawley, Helen Hanks, Tom Deike, Tammy Marble, Doug Marble, Karen Sandmeyer, Dale Sandmeyer, Shane Sandmeyer, Marty Kassem,

Dan Tirenan, Dan (boonie), RD Currier, Bill Baernik, John McKinley, Tom Onsgard, Randy Laven and Steph Burton.  The Minutes to the last meeting were read.  Motioned to approve as read by RD, 2nd by Dale Sandmeyer, passed.

 

Treasurer:  Helen Hanks reports a balance of $7664.45.  Bills:  Gary Dawley, Mail, $95.08 for proxies, Paul Sekora, Crystal Construcdtion, $900.00, Flat Track Bull Dozer Time, Rd Motions to pay the bills, Boonie 2nd, passed.

 

Road Captain report:  The Turkey Shoot will start at 1pm on Saturday,  Toes will get the clay targets.  Ron Reemer motions to give 2 checks to toes for the supplies. 2nd b y Steph Burton and passed.  The wood cutting work party will start at 9am.  A motion by Marty Kassem to rent a wooed splitter, 2nd by Ron Reemer, passed.

 

Visitors:  Erin Nelson, Chaska, Sponsor Marty Kassem.  1st meeting.

 

Announcements:  Chli will be delivered and prepared by Cal Cammack. 
Buns, pop, water and candy available.  Lennys bike has been winterized by one of his friends, Rachel.

 

Old Business:  The lap top prices are discussed as for the hardware and software.  Marty Kassem motions to apportion $1200.00 for Hardware and Software.  IBM Thinkpad.

Boonie 2nd, passed.  Tom Deike will  buy it and ask for reimbursement.

 

New Business:  John McKinley asks about the banquet and LeMays.  He will check on prices there.;  For the 19th of February.  Katoballroom.com has prices for there..  Next Thursday there will be no meeting because of Thanksgiving.  Boonie asked about the Nicollet Snow Climbers.  RD Currier talks about having an AMA sanctioned trail ride on the Earth Day weekend in 2005.  April 23 and 24th. There is a motion by RD to have an AMA sanctioned, guided, trail ride event on the proposed dates, 2nd by Tom Deike, passed.  There was some discussion on an ambulance and one is not necessary for this event.  Tom Onsgard has experience with trail ride events.  The trail will be marked with arrows.  There is talk about 4 wheeler rides and poker run.  Last Saturday in September would be good, the 24th.  1st of October could be fun days.  A motion by Ron Reemer and 2nd by boonie to have a break to enable the officers selected to count the proxy ballots.  Doug Marble, Karen Sandmeyer and Steph Burton are the counters. 9pm.  The meeting was re-convened at  9:30pm.  The results of the vote by proxy were issue #1 passed 66 to 7.  Issue #2 Failed to pass 38 to 35.  A motion was made by Marty Kassem to get locks that are keyed the same for the pop stand and gate, 2nd by Toes and passed.  The bar door was discussed again and it is too pricey to replace it with a metal door.  Some discussion on taking out a few bricks to fit a new standard door was undertaken.  Toes, is looking at this.  Tom Deike motions to adjourn, Boonie 2nd, passed.  Adjourned at 9:45pm.  Make a copy of the membership forms for Gary Dawley.  He may turn it into an access program.

23rd event is going to be 2 days of riding with camping. Saturday nite camping.  Anyone with a woodplitter we need one this weekend.

 

New Bsn: Rich Reichel asked about plowing.  $20.00 per hour is the fee.  Jim Florey motions to hire Rich Reichel to plow at $20.00 per hour, Jeff Hickok 2nd, passed.  Plowing on Thursdays only.  Charley Holzinger asks about the 

camper. There is a monthly fee for leaving this here?  We should stick to our rules. Gary Dawley will contact him about this.  Helen will read the rule about this.  There is alot of accessories for his camp site too.  The other camping areas have decks and stuff out yet too. Our club house and ground rules.  f:/13  all personal property must be out by nov 15th $25.00 per week fine.  It can not be returned to the club until April 1st. Gary Dawley needs 3 checks for sanctioning meeting, Rich Reich motions for the checks. Tom Deike 2nd, passed.  Next week are officers nominations.  Rich Reichel mentions about nominations and we should have a sheet that shows their interest.  Steph mentions about a job description for each job. Doug Sullivan, from the Dutchmen has approval  to have their club ask for the National Hillclimb, and is here to ask for our input.  John Mckinley went for Feb 26th at LeMays.  They are open then.  5 to 6:30 cocktail hour. He says that he will get whatever band we want. We would like some tables down below.  Reserve about 30 spots.  We usually have 60 people.  The menu is as follows:  Roast Beef, Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes and Corn.  Rich Reichel is getting married on Jan 6th.

Minutes were read and approved as corrected.  $56.83 bar deposit, Ron Reemer motions and RD Currier 2nd,  Passed.


Treasurer: Not Present.  Bills:  32.49 for 2 locks for pop stand door and garage door.  Check from moto kaze signed contract $1,000.00. Clap. The check for the locks goes to zacks lock.  Jim Florey has photo expense of $37.48 prints (100), photo album $12.83.  Tom Deike motions to pay the bills , Jim Florey 2nd, passed.

 

Road Captain:  Turkey shoot:  Not many shooters. Dan McMurlyn 1st place, Bob Reichel 2nd place, and Toes got 3rd   place.  Cal won the chicken, and his chili was wonderful.  Tami won 1st in the women, and Weston Reemer won 1st in youth mens. Devon, Buzzys Grandson took 2nd.  Boone won a couple of Annie Oakley’s. There was plenty of food.  Buzzys old story about his gun and the beebees falling out the end when it went off. His Gradson had the same kind of luck with his gun, it fell into 3 pieces.  

Visitors:  Erin Nelson, 3rd meeting and would like to be voted on.  Marty Kassem is his sponsor.  Work and live in Chaska, builds truck bodies. Rides a dirt bike, Cr 45oF , drz110, trail.

Cheryl has provided us with a current points sheet, any problems contact Gary.  We got all of our dates for the sanctions.  The Moto’s are May 15, against Mora/Huricane Hills, June 26, against Midway/Mazzeppa and July 31st against Millville and Gliden. The vote for Erin Nelsons probationary status is as follows:  yes for probationary member and yes for key. Please stop up and give us your dues and fee of $150.00. No dues because you joined the last month of the year.

The sanction meeting went well, and Darrel Sanderson did a good job.  Gary entered into his computer about the risk management class he attended.  The information should be available on the web page soon. Darrel put 04 on our date sheets.  So just bear with it and beware. Steve Young and his wife Michelle had a baby girl on Monday. Her name is Izzabelle.  Tom Deike will send a card to 3711 Foxtail Trail NW, Prior Lake, MN  55372. Tim Slipey was given the rules, in a letter on his window, the camper is gone.  The stuff in the campground, the personal property will be addressed in a letter to each and every one that camps there, reminding them of the rule. An end of 2004 date is given for this to be completed.  Tom Deike will write such a letter and forward to the prospective campers.  Ron Reemer motions to store his cooler in the pop stand for the winter, Doug Marble 2nd. Tom Deike abstains,  passed.  Some items that still remain are grills and picnic tables and decks and chairs.  Ron Reemer wonders why we can’t have this stuff there. Randy Laven motions to contact the squatters by mail and give them till the end of the month to comply, 2nd Darrell Sanderson,  passed.  Some campering people were at the meeting, and they had such things in this area that needed to be moved.  They assured the club that this would be taken care.  Toes motions to let Ron store his deck and grill in the pop stand, Ron Reemer 2nd, passed. Mark Rolf was out Saturday and split quite a bit of the wood.  There was a note for people who helped.  Tim and Jeff Slipey, Mikey and Mark Rolf .

The 10/14/2004 Rule about the club house cleaning rule change addition is as follows:  Probationary members are responsible for cleaning of the club house each week before each meeting. Members of 15years or less will clean the club house areas once each year during their birthday month.  Life members are exempt from cleaning the club house. When the rule was posted there was a motion and a 2nd.  This new rule passed, unanimously.

 

New Business:  A motion is made by Doug Marble to allow a road run on July 23rd, 2005.  1 pm start time, with sign up at noon.  This is a non-sanctioned event. Tom Deike, 2nd, passed. Jim Florey mentions that we are coming up on our voting for the year and nominations cease on the last day of the month.  He would motion to keep a running tally of nominates, and at the last meeting, this document would contain the names of the people eligible for the offices so nominated for.  This document, in turn, would become the ballot, which would reduce the time to complete the elections.  Marty Kassem motions so and Ron Reemer 2nd, passed.  Tom Deike will do this. Gary Dawley , tried again to get a hold of  Brad Buffington and was unsuccessful.  Jeff Bell said that he can provide the same service and offers to take up the task of the security cameras and installation.  The cameras were previously voted on to purchase and install for a price of $538.75.  Previous estimates in the interim were $450 on a wired type camera versus $1500.00 for a wireless camera. Do we install to deter or prevent.  Make them kind of aware of the cameras.  Jeff Bell is picking up the ball on this.  RD Currier motions to adjourn, Tom Deike 2nd, passed.  Adjourned at 9:15pm. Erin Nelson paid his club fee of $150.00 with check #1923.

Junk in the campgrounds, please move by the end of the year.

New Business:  Kevin Johnson would like to discuss the snow climb.  Are we interested, they are.  January 29th, 2005.  New Ulm is not going to have the Snow Cross this year so this date became available. It is proposed to be a side by side, double elimination.  They have all of the information we discussed last year and will bring last year’s contract.  Insurance, gate, start time, etc. are the things contained in last years agreement.  Two weekends before are 2 radar runs.  One will be at Lake Washington and one at the Nicollet County Conservation Club. A motion was made by Rich Reichl and 2nd by Steve Doty to have the snow hill drag, with the same arrangements as last year. The motion was passed. Rich Reichl, makes a motion to adjourn and 2nd by Steve Doty, which is passed.

Treasurer:  Helen Hanks reports a $174.23 Oct / Nov Bar deposit. A General Deposit of  $709.00  which included $150 for a new member, $170.00 in Checks returned, $50 from the ATV Run and $6.00 from the Turkey Shoot, $55.00 for a shirt and $278.00 of miscellaneous which included the scrap metal and keys.  There is $5059.10 in the checking account as of today.  A bill for 1$ from Gary Dawley for a district fee is presented. A motion to pay the bill is made by Tom Deike, 2nd by Doug Marble. Passed.

 

Gary Dawley will give the club a deck for use as a snow barrier.   Tom Deike motions to let Gary Dawley leave his deck here till next spring, Toes 2nd. Passed.

 

Announcements:  RD is getting a skid loader. It is 30 year old  Melroe Bobcat.

Old Business:  RD and Tom Deike get 2 hours each for work in moving the water pump to Steve Doty’s.  Helen Hanks motions for the work hours and Doug Marble 2nd. Passed.

There is $75.00 in the 50/50 fund for the year.  A keg at LeMays is 200.00. There will be a $12.50 per person charge for the dinner.  It also included a 15% tip.  A motion is made by Doug Marble to charge $12.50 per person for meal and gratuity, RD 2nd. Passed.  A motion is made by Doug Marble to get a keg using 50/50 fund and the club making up the difference, Tom Deike 2nd.  Passed.

If Doug Marble is elected Road Captain he will arrange a couple rides.  He has one run to Granger in May planned and a run in June to Anamosa Iowa, which is where the Motorcycle Hall Of Fame is.  It is located just east of Des Moines Iowa.  Gary Dawley is working on the awards banquet.  Cheryl Dawley had a 3.92 grade point average.

Old Bsn:  Doug Marble reports about Harold Waddel’s hill climb in France.  He went all the way over there, no prize money no climb, no nothing.  He spent a lot of money to get there.  We donated $250.00.  Harold Wadel was also recently on TV climbing the Widow Maker.  Gary passed around an old newsletter that Steph brought in.  We voted to have the snow drags on January 29th last week.  We only have a month to work on this.  We didn’t have a written contract.  We will split expenses 50 /50 and the profit  60/40.  This was verbal last year.  Doug Marble suggests KY country, etc. for advertising.  Give away 24 free passes or so to KTOE. Last year Rich Reichel went around and got donations .  We spent $413.00 last year.  Trails association gave us $1000.00 ahead.  Jim Hanks got the trophies and they have some at the trails assoc.  They were running the event and we were running concessions.  Beer will be sold at this event.  We should wait a week to hear from Ken and Kevin about it.  Personal property in campgrounds must be out by Friday.

 

New Business:  Last year Rich used a piece of wood on a stick for a gavel.  Gary Dawley bought a gavel for $35.00 and would like the club to purchase it from him. Steve Scheid motions and Steph Burton  2nd to  buy KCC engraved gavel. Passed.

Hill c rew , joint effort,  3 at top, 2 at 2nd jump,2 at the  bottom for flag drop, 2 for staging, porta poties, seppman, split cost, 3 total. Plus our handicap, we will order it, their club is handling the money, 2 kcc and 2 snow at the gate, kcc handles concessions, and security is everyones responsibility.  Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Water, Pop, Beer, chili, hot dogs, and chili dogs, 2 crews of 4, 4 morning and 4 afternoon.    9 til 1 and 1 till whenever, 2 in the morning and 2 in fthe aft for beer.  Can beer. Steve Doty would buy a keg if he got advertising mention. Ron Reemer and Shane Sandmeyr will ge the beer.  Voted and passed. For this event only. Garbage dump joint.    PA and announcer, shane sandmeyer. Tom Deike will help get the equipment together.  Clean up joint effort.  KCC will get concession and gat start change. They will have registration money and gate.  Advetrtising, rich Reichel will   $400.00 on radio.  Free press  $260.00,  18th rich will have an answer.  Alternative day.
